Children's Illustration Book

The Story of My Names is a children's picture book that Victoria Abramovich has authored. It tells a story about a Chinese girl who is initially embarrassed by her Chinese name, eventually coming to appreciate the beauty and significance of her name thanks to a new friend she makes at her new Australian school.As the illustrator for Mrs Adamovich, I seek to utilize my artistic and storytelling abilities to educate young audiences through a fun and interactive medium. The final book aims to inspire many young Chinese students across Sydney to be proud of their names and who they are while promoting awareness and empathy amongst young Australians.

Lost In Translation

In a series of portraits featuring my parents and myself, I delved into the reality of the generational gap that stemmed from differing backgrounds, upbringing, and beliefs. These portraits serve as visual representations of the barriers and challenges that hinder meaningful intergenerational dialogue. I strive to capture a universal experience that resonates with younger generations.

Fish Out of Water (2023)
My focus was on designing a quirky character that visually represents a small aspect of the ADHD experience. I experimented with unconventional design choices to convey the abstract, chaotic existence of someone with ADHD.

Dumplings (饺子) (2021)
Little Zhu was given freshly made dumplings to deliver to her grandma on Chinese New Year but was chased down by a strange beast.
This is inspired by cherished memories of making homemade dumplings with my family, the rural Chinese villages that my parents grew up in, and my dear Grandma.

Behind The Bushes (2021)
